Data processed

  • Your account: name, email address and password, stored in encrypted form.
  • Your access request: profile and message.
  • Your workstations: PC name, anonymised fingerprint, software version and sign-in dates.
  • Technical logs: IP address and date of connections, for security.
  • If you use the Vonkcad cloud: your projects, their last 10 versions and a thumbnail of the plan.
  • During the beta, the software usage time: duration per day and per screen, with no content from your projects.

Your projects

By default, your projects stay on your PC, or in your own Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive: they do not go through our servers.

If you choose to save them in the Vonkcad cloud, they are kept in a private space for your account, at Hetzner in Nuremberg (Germany, European Union), with their last 10 versions. We do not look at them, except at your request to help you, and we share them with no one.

Your clients’ data

Your projects may contain your clients’ data, such as their name and the site address. You remain responsible for this data. When you save it in the Vonkcad cloud, Vonkcad keeps it for your account, as a processor within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR, solely to provide you with this service.

Purposes and legal basis

This data is used to manage your account, your access to the software and the security of the service, under the contract between us.

Usage time shows us which functions are really used, to improve the software during the beta (legitimate interest). It is sent with your licence and never shared.

Processors

  • Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany: hosting of the website, the licence server and the Vonkcad cloud.
  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), France: sending the service's emails.

Retention period

Account data is kept as long as the account exists, then deleted. Technical logs are kept for one year at most.

Projects in the Vonkcad cloud are kept as long as your account exists. You can delete them yourself at any time, with their previous versions, from the “My projects” page of the software, or ask us to delete them by writing to contact@vonkcad.be.

Your rights

You can access your data, correct it, erase it or request its portability by writing to contact@vonkcad.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

This site only uses the cookies it needs to work: session and language.

The videos on the Getting started page are played by YouTube in cookie-free mode: YouTube stores nothing until you start a video.
